Self Analysis - The Law of Success

Attunement with the Divine Will is the most important factor in attracting success.
Power of Self-Control provides the sweet fruit of eternal freedom.
A negative thinker sees a difficulty in every opportunity, while a positive thinker sees an opportunity in every difficulty.

"Problems And Difficulties Are Like Big Cotton Bags…
They Look Huge For Those Who See It…
But They Look Lighter For Those Who Handle It" !

 Quality of a successful person- Easy Busy and Constructive Cool
The fragrance of flowers does not go against the flow of wind; but the perfume of virtues spreads in all directions.
Acharya Shri Ram
I will be calmly active, actively calm. I will not become lazy and mentally ossified. Nor will I be overactive, able to earn money but unable to enjoy life. I will meditate regularly to maintain true balance.
An average person feels happy in response to happy events and miserable in the face of sad events. Such a person is tossed by the tides of the external world, and happiness becomes purely accidental. To attain tranquility, you must learn not to be influenced by external circumstances. That is the only way to find the state of stillness within. Once you know how to remain still, you can study both the external and the internal worlds.

YOUR DESTINY
                                    You are what your deep driving desire is.
  As your deep driving desire is, so is your will
      As your will is, so is your deed.
            As your dead is, so is your destiny

An outstanding and fantastic message for life time-
   You will definitely succeed in your life if you follow all the advices that you give to others.
If you possess health and wealth, but have trouble with everybody (including yourself), yours is not a successful life. Existence become futile if you cannot find happiness.
When wealth is lost, you have lost a little;
When health is lost, you have lost something of more consequence;
When peace of mind is lost, you have lost the highest treasure.
Success should be measured by the yardstick of happiness; by your ability to remain in peaceful harmony with cosmic laws. Success is not rightly measured by the worldly standards of wealth, prestige, and power. None of these best happiness unless they are rightly used. To use them rightly, one must possess wisdom and love for God and men.
Happiness depends to some extent upon external conditions, but chiefly upon mental attitudes. In order to be happy one should have good health, a well balanced mind, a prosperous life, the right work, a thankful heart, and, above all, wisdom and knowledge of God. Do not make unhappiness a chronic habit, thereby afflicting yourself and your associates. Do not wait for your circumstances to change, thinking falsely that in them lies the trouble. A strong determination to be happy will help you. That power to be happy comes through meditation.
There are always two forces warring against each other within us. One force tells us to do the things we should not do; and the other urges us to do the things we should do, the things that seem difficult. One voice is that of evil, and the other is that of good, or God.
Through difficult daily lessons you will sometime see clearly that bad habits nourish the tree of unending material desires, while good habits nourish the tree of spiritual aspirations. More and more you should concentrate your efforts on successfully maturing the spiritual tree, that you may someday gather the ripe fruit of Self-realization.
If you are able to free yourself from all kind of bad habits, and if you are able to do good because you want to do good and not merely because evil brings sorrow, then you are truly progressing in Spirit.
It is only when you discard your bad habits that you are really a free man.
1. Always follow the righteous path, and obey the rules so that you could be fearless and controller of your destiny. A guilty person always feels restless even with the greatest of comforts and wealth.
Fear Exhausts Life Energy
The human brain is a storehouse of life energy. This energy is constantly employed in muscular movements; in the working of the heart, lungs, and diaphragm; in cellular metabolism and chemicalization of blood; and in carrying on the work of the telephonic sensory motor system (the nerves). Besides this, a tremendous amount of life energy is required in all processes of thought, emotion, and will.
Fear exhausts life energy; it is one of the greatest enemies of dynamic will power. Fear causes the life force that ordinarily flows steadily through the nerves to be squeezed out, and the nerves themselves to become as though paralyzed; the vitality of the whole body is lowered. Fear doesn't help you to get away from the object of fear; it only weakens your will power. Fear causes the brain to send an inhibiting message to all bodily organs. It constricts the heart, checks the digestive functions, and causes many other physical disturbances. When the consciousness is kept on God, you will have no fears; every obstacle will then be overcome by courage and faith.
2. Purification of Mind
The mind when purified becomes calm and quiet. We can apply it wherever we want to. Without grumbling it sticks to it. In this state, it develops a capacity of concentration as its natural faculty. We can concentrate on whatever subject we want to. The climax of concentration means total identification with the object. On whatever objects or subject our mind concentrates, it becomes identified with that. This capacity is there latent in the mind is so significant for the realization of the self. The mind which is free from desires, is always concentrated and open upwards, to the higher planes of consciousness, and receives the knowledge and light and peace of the spirit within itself.
A pure mind is a perfect vessel to contain the nectar that flow from the self, ‘Atman’.
The power of spirit can abide only in a pure and dedicated heart.
3. Put God's power behind your efforts
You should sit in silence before deciding about any important matter, asking the Father for his blessings. Then behind your power is God's power; behind your mind, His mind; behind your will, His will. When God is working with you, you cannot fail; every faculty you possess will increase in power. When you do your work with the thought of serving God, you receive His blessings.
Before embarking upon important undertakings, sit quietly, calm your senses, and thoughts, and meditate deeply. You will then be guided by the great creative power of Spirit. After that, you should utilize all necessary material means to achieve your goal.
4. Overcome your difficulties
The successful person may have had more serious difficulties to content with than one who has failed but the former trains himself to reject the thought of failure at all times. You should transfer your attention from failure to success, from worry to calmness, from mental wanderings to concentration, from restlessness to peace, and from peace to the divine bless within.
5. On Criticism and Misunderstanding

I will not waste my time in talking about the faults of others. If I find myself inclined to enjoy criticizing others I will first talk loudly against myself before others. I will criticize no one unless asked by him to do so, and then only with a desire to help. Many people excuse their own faults but judge other persons harshly. We should reverse this attitude by excusing others' shortcomings and by harshly examining our own.
6. The next attribute is titiksa - forbearance, tolerance, and endurance at the physical mental and verbal level. Expand your capacity to face every situation and circumstance that life brings. Coping with the world requires endurance and forbearance.
7. The next quality of a successful man is self restraint, self control, self master, and control over your senses. The activities of the senses are the first step in to forming habit patterns. The conscious mind is connected to the senses. It is through the senses that the conscious mind interacts with the objects of the external world. If the mind is not trained properly, then the senses become the guiding force and the poor mind follows than helplessly.
HAVE A DEFINED GOAL, A CLEAR VISION
Helen Keller was indeed a distinctive personality. She was blind, dumb and deaf. Yet, she made commendable achievements in her life. Once someone asked her – "Ma'am, what do you think could be worse than being born blind?" In a split second she replied – "To have sight but no vision!" If you go through the autobiographies of great achievers, you will find them saying in unison that the propelling force in their life was – a goal, a dream, a mission, a target, a purpose- something that always kept them motivated. If you don't have a goal in your life, you are never going to achieve what you could have achieved.
I do not know what I may seem to the world; but as to myself I seem to have been only a boy playing on the sea shore, and diverting myself in now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.

Sir Isaac Newton
If you plant a seed and dig it up daily to see if it is growing, it will never take roots.

I feel for others as I feel for myself. I will work out my salvation by serving my fellowman. I will take the best from every people. I will admire the good qualities of all nationalities and will not put my attention on their errors.

Spiritual Practice - Surrender to God

There is a Power that will light
your way to health, happiness,
peace, and success, if you will
but turn toward that Light.
-SRI SRI PARAMAHANSA YOGANANDA-

"Let us pray to Almighty to illuminate our intellect towards the righteous path so that we can serve our mother earth in a better way."
"Let noble thoughts come to us from all directions" - Rigveda.
"Be so drunk with the love of God that you will know nothing but God; and give that love to all"
-Yogananda
“Surrender is the first word of my Yoga and that is the last.” (Sri Aurobindo)
You may be the biggest sinner; but the boat of divine Knowledge can take you across the ocean of sins.
-Bhagwat Gita
We have many demands from the divine. But the divine demands only one thing from us “Give all your burden to me.”
Pray with a sincere heart:
1.      God, let me remember you constantly throughout the day. Be with me in every moment.
2.      Let my every thought, word and deed bring me closer to You.
3.      Let me not hurt anyone in thought, word or deed.
4.      Lord, my hands and feet are working for you. You have given me a certain part to play in this world and everything I am doing in this world is for You.
Surrender to God
(Yogananda Paramhansa)
1.      The greatest of all duties is to remember God. The first thing to do in the morning is to meditate on him and think how you can give your life to his service, so that all day long you will be filled with his joy.
2.      Dear father, whatever conditions confront me, I know that they represent the next step in my unfoldment. I will welcome all tests because I know that within me is the intelligence to understand and the power to overcome.
3.      There is no way to find God's love other than to surrender to him. Master your mind so that you may offer it to him.
4.      The Lord knows the course of our thoughts. He does not reveal himself to us until we have surrendered to him our last worldly desire, until each of us says "Father, guide and possess me."
5.      Surrender yourself to God and you will find that your life has become a beautiful melody.
If you try to do everything in the consciousness of God, you will see with joy that every day. He is choosing certain duties for you to perform.
6.      You cannot make steel until you have made the iron white hot in fire. It is not meant for harm. Trouble and disease have a lesson for us. Our painful experiences are not meant to destroy us, but to burn out our dross, to hurry us back home. No one is more anxious for our release than God.
7.      Do not say: "Tomorrow I will meditate longer." You will suddenly find that a year has passed without fulfillment of your good intentions. Instead say:
 "This can wait and that can wait, but my search for God cannot wait."
Why does the Lord demand that we should surrender to him? Because we do not understand in what lies our well being; which path, which direction will help us attain the aim of life, that is to unite with the divine and manifest Him in the life. Once we Surrender to him, he prepares us to according to his way and brings us the highest fulfillment in life.
To belong totally to the Lord means to be the center of his force in the world. Only the surrendered person is chosen by Him to be His instrument.
"God chooses those who choose Him"
Sri Aurobindo laid great emphasis on three things for leading a peaceful and spiritual life. These are aspirations, rejection and surrender. One should aspire for the divine all the time, accompanied by unceasing effort to open oneself to divine grace. One must reject the desire of his lower animal nature like desires, demands, cravings, sensations, passions, pride, arrogance, lust, greed, jealousy, envy, etc. The third requirement for the harmonious and peaceful life, according to Sri Aurobindo, is complete surrender to the divine. Thus, even in modern times, it has been emphasized by spiritual teachers that without faith in God and without the spirit of sacrifice, it is not possible for a person to enjoy peace of mind and harmony in life.
Inspirational Quotes:
Watch your thoughts, they become words;
Watch your words, they become actions;
Watch your actions, they become habits;
Watch your habits, they become character;
Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.
Peace of Mind/Peace of World
When there is righteousness in the heart, there is beauty in the character;
When there is beauty in the character, there is harmony in the home;
When there is harmony in the home, there is order in the nation;
When there is order in the nation, there is peace in the world.

Rains of God's mercy cannot gather on mountain top of pride, but they flow easily into the valley of humility.
Today I forgive all those who have ever offended me. I give my love to all thirsty hearts, both to those who love me and to those who do not love me.
May I be a lighthouse for those who are tossed on the sea of sorrow. The king of the universe is my Father.
I will not be a beggar, asking limited mortal prosperity, health, and knowledge. I am Thy child, and as such I demand, without limitations, a divine son’s share of Thine illimitable riches.
O Lord of Law, since all affairs are directly or indirectly guided by Thy will, I will bring Thy presence consciously into my mind through meditation, in order to solve the problems life has sent me.
Train me not to be proud. I will conquer pride by humility, wrath by love, excitement by calmness, selfishness by unselfishness, evil by good, ignorance by knowledge, and restlessness by the ineffable peace acquired in the stillness of inner silence.
Attaining Freedom
Why tie the infinite soul to a bony post of flesh? Let go! Cut the cords of flesh consciousness, attachments to the body, hunger, pleasure, pain, and bodily and mental involvements. Relax, Loosen, the soul from the grip of the body. Let not the heaving breath remind you of physical bars. Sit still in breathless silence, expecting every minute to make the dash for freedom into the infinite. Love not your earthly prison.
Highest Achievement
Love is the inherent dynamic force which sustains the life of a person and makes it enjoyable. Human life becomes dreary and deserted in the absence of love. Love of the Lord is the highest achievement for any person. It is not very difficult for anyone to establish a fervent relationship of love with the Lord provided he or she has a will to do it. In order to achieve this goal an aspirant has to concentrate himself either on the charming personality of the human form of the Lord or on the glory and attributes of Him who is the Almighty, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Benevolent, full of compassion, and defender of the helpless. If a person concentrates genuinely and regularly through anyone of the above methods coupled with selfless service in the name of the Lord, he shall gradually establish an ardent relationship of love with Him, which shall provide him providential support and abiding bliss in due course of time. Such a stage shall be reached when he surrenders himself completely to the will of the Lord and merges his identity with Him. Then he shall be in a position to say:
“jkth gS ge mlh esa ftlesa rsjh jtk gS!”
Thy will shall prevail.
The more we surrender our personal will, the more we know the Divine will.
